Join us on an exciting late season adventure in the Pyrenees, ride the twisty and spectacular mountains passes and gorges in this unspoilt region of Northern Spain and returning on a scenic route through Bodeaux inFrance.
We will go out on the Portsmouth Santander ferry and return from Le Havre in France to Portsmouth.
October is usually quite warm, finishing your biking year with a swansong before the weather closes in for the winter back in Uk.
After a good night on the ferry across the Bay of Biscay we will ride out of Santander and wend our way southeast through rolling hills and valleys to the white dolomite fields of Pamplona with Castles and monastries on every other hill, passing blue lakes with abandoned villages and the Pyrenees ridge forever beckoning you on the horizon.
Once we have arrived at our base in the mountain village hotel we will be staying for a few days so unpack the bike, settle in and relax.
We will be exploring this great biking area with rideouts zig zagging back and forth betwen France and Spain giving you a chance to see the stunning gorges, mountain passes,ride the Toumalet which is a torturous route on the Tour de France with hidden gems riding on some of the most challenging and least used roads in the world.
On this unguided tour feel free to do your own thing, ride with us, on your own or with friends, the idea is for you to relax and enjoy yourself in this fantastic part of Spain just see you at the hotel to discuss your days adventures over a drink or two.

Meet us at the Portsmouth ferry terminal at aprox 9.30/10am. for your ferry [11 am] to Santander.
Once on board you can settle in to your ensuite cabin for the overnight trip to Santander, or venture outside to watch the coast disappear as we head for the Bay of Biscay,
Why not take advantage of the onboard entertainment/restaurants to pass the night away.

Arrive Santander about 12.30am disembark and let the fun begin, ride out of Santander up into the hills on some good biking roads with a scenic route to the Pyrenean foothills, ride deserted biking roads past, Castles, mountains, gorges, and rivers with wild scenery unmatched anywhere in the world.
We are staying at our hotel for 4 nights giving you time to settle in unpack the bike, kick back and relax ready for a good night.

We will be staying in hotels during the 6 nights here.
I will have a rideout planned for each day criss crossing between France and Spain to see the sites and roads of this fascinating area, stopping off frequently for a bit craic, coffee, photos and a relaxing lunch at one of the areas biker friendly establishments. You are welcome to join me or just ride on your own, explore the area, hike or do nothing the choice is yours it is your holidays after all.

Breakfast and pack up and on the road, out of the Pyrenees unfortunately ,over into France heading north on a lovely route of fast A/B roads passing Chateau's, Castles and lovely scenery up into the Bordeaux region for the night.

Bonjour, breakfasted and another route through the Bordeaux countryside which will I hope keep you interested as we ride through vineyards stopping off to buy wine if you like,lunch etc and our nice hotel for our nights stay,

Breakfast and our final ride to Le havre for our fast ferry[ 3 hours] back to the Uk and Portsmouth
Arrive in Portsmouth and disembark the tour finishes here, have a safe trip home.
